The Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion is engaged in research and knowledge development activities that are translated into practical information to support full and meaningful community participation of individuals with mental illnesses. I am responsible for managing the facilitation of community inclusion interventions being tested by the Temple University Collaborative. Primary responsibilities include conducting assessments, co-developing treatment plans with individual clients, facilitating intervention activities, supervising peer support specialists, and documenting consumer outcomes. Additionally, I work on research related tasks where primary responsibilities include data collection, data editing and entry, research subject recruitment and retention, facilitating and maintaining positive relationships with collaborators, support of IRB submissions, and development of resources and products.

Provided clinical support and leadership to a 30-bed adult supportive housing program that supports individuals in the community with a history of mental illness, medical complications, drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness, and/or forensic backgrounds.Assisted with development, implementation, and monitoring of programmatic systems. Worked with Program Director and Program Manager to develop new strategies to ensure that best practices were incorporated into program design.Provided therapeutic support to Haldeman~Grant program participants, through at least one contact per month.Coordinated and documented treatment and services for program participants.Assisted participants and Haldeman~Grant team with the development, implementation, and updates of the participants’ Recovery Support Plans, and assisted participants with identifying and connecting to community resources and activities needed to meet their needs while empowering them to be their own advocate.

Coach people recovering from mental illness, emotional and intellectual disabilities in the independent use of community supports and resources.Facilitate the completion of Recovery Plans that are individualized, strength-based and recovery and wellness focused based upon the members’ hopes, dreams and aspirations; help identify any potential challenges to their Recovery Plan and help address these as well as in identifying and overcoming obstacles and fears.Assist members to identify, choose, reach and keep their life goals.Plan, coordinate, and facilitate community-based activities with the members.Identify social networks and natural supports that already exist in the person’s life and enhance that support.
