This project was a finialist for Charter Steel's CEO Trophy for CI Excellence Award.I led a team which virtually eliminated downtime from a core area in a continuous process work environment by utilizing 6σ methodologies. This resulted in over $50,000 in saving over a 6 month period. I was a contributing member of a team which reduced downtime from a core area in a continuous process work environment by 25%. This was accomplished by utilizing Value Stream Mapping, 5S and looking at the 8 wastes.
