Developed a health and safety program from the ground up and helped Techaire become a leader in our Association. (All while still carrying out my Office Manager duties).I am extremely proud of the program we developed while at Techaire and the safety culture throughout the organization I helped create. As a company we encouraged our Association to start a Safety Group and I helped ensure that we remained leaders in it. I am also proud of the part I played in the team that designed the Brazing Quality Assurance Manual for the Association.After my first year of becoming the Health & Safety Coordinator, Techaire Systems received significant CAD-7 rebates every year.

I was now supervising a new Bookkeeper and dispatch/admin assistants. I was still heavily involved in the financial end of the company: Handling more complicated reconciliations and journal entries, preparing financial and other reports and preparing T4s, ROEs, etc. I was also managing preventative maintenance agreements and becoming more involved in the project management side of the business. I helped prepare tenders, managed the cost analysis of on-going projects and prepared progress billings, etc.Major accomplishments included developing new spreadsheets and databases to monitor and analyze project costs, reducing office and general expenses, creating an easy to use preventative maintenance agreement template and helping change the culture of the organization to a more family-oriented one by organizing family-based company events.

Responsible for Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Collections, monthly remittances (GST, PST, Employee Deductions, WSIB, EHT, Union dues, etc), vehicle leases and invoicing. Accomplishments during that time included designing spreadsheets to simplify reports and remittances and managing a difficult PST audit in my first few months.
