My role was in a multinational team of engineers charged with continued maintenance of ski lift and heavy plant equipment and action on recommendations from lift manufacturers and AEDARSA (Alberta Elevating Devices Amusement Rides Safety Association).• Performing routine ski lift maintenance by interpreting diagrams and manufacturer’s manuals.• Early morning inspection of all lift systems and activate testing of all safety systems and running up combustion engines before allowing any given lift to carry members of the public.• Large scale maintenance of heavy snow and earth moving equipment.• Identifying potential problems with the high speed lift systems ranging from digital control systems, hydraulic tensions motors, chair conveyor assembles and fire safety.• Annually rebuilding, overhauling and commissioning of all ski lifts as per AEDARSA requirements.• Fault find and repair of over 5km of underground high pressure water and electric systems.• Weekly training of emergency protocols with relation to all modes of lift failures. • Daily Calibrating lift lines as to avoid unwanted ware.• Working within best operating practice put forward by UNESCO and parks Canada.• High line rigging for sensor testing and repair on all lift towers.• Evolved in constructing new lift additions from ground works to certification.
