I've enjoyed over two decades in the gaming industry so far, and have spent fourteen of those years working as a Senior Art Director and the 2D Department Head for SuperGenius Studio. I've helped the studio ship dozens of titles for clients like EA, Blizzard, Disney, Oculus, Gearbox and more. These days I work with teams of artists on video game IP, but I got my start as a freelancer working on Table Top Games for clients like Wizards of the Coast, Sony Online Entertainment, and Privateer Press. I bridged into video games with some stints of freelance work for Liquid Development, where I eventually came to work as an in-house contractor. Having acquired a taste for studio life, I branched out to contract with SuperGenius Studio, where I was offered a full time position to head up their 2D Department. At SuperGenius I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of games, from small indie titles to AAA giants. My heart will always be drawn to creating character, creature, and environment concepts, but I've worked on everything from storyboards to UI. I've molded myself into a formidable generalist who can work in many styles and genres. If it can be created in Photoshop, I've probably done it, and I bring a wealth of experience to any project I join.I enjoy being able to work with talented people and I've made a name for myself as a level headed team lead and collaborative artist. I love making concepts that push the creative horizons of both artists and gamers. I hope to keep what I do for many years to come.

2D Department DirectorSupergenius Studio Nov 2011 - PresentOregon CityIn my years working at SuperGenius, I'm usually wearing at least two hats at once. I'm the Head of the 2D Department and, depending on the size of the project, can often be found working alongside my teams on concept work. We're a smaller studio to be sure, but I think that offers the best of both worlds. I get to know all of my artists fairly well, and the environment can often be somewhat casual. However I'm well versed in the more corporate structure of larger studios, as I often handle direct communication with clients. It's been a great joy of my professional life working for SuperGenius. Over the years I've been able to help cultivate a group of amazing local artists within the studio. I've been lucky to have the opportunity to keep growing as an artist as I've guided our teams through each new project. -

The work was always engaging, challenging, and fast paced and I enjoyed the camaraderie of the many talented people I worked with. -
