As part of Accenture Ireland's Internship Programme, I spent three months working at a creative capacity within the Human Sciences Studio at Accenture's Innovation Hub. The Human Sciences Studio is a multi-disciplinary research team which applies expertise in social science to better understand the relationships between business, society and technology. My role as Creative Intern involved crafting the studio's research into visual outputs, including but not limited to: comic books, large-scale illustration, videography, motion graphics, presentations and photography.Consolidating complex research around unintended consequences of future technologies, particularly the Metaverse, into consumable visual outputs was an engaging, thought-provoking and deeply fascinating experience.Aside from working directly with the HSS research team, I had the opportunity to participate in the Leaders of Tomorrow competition, a six-week hackathon. Alongside a team of multi-disciplinary interns, we researched the topic of financial literacy among young adults (13-18). Our winning pitch included a functioning prototype app, series of printed ephemera and screen-based graphics as well as a presentation.
