Reporting to the Director of Global Vision; responsible for project management, project budgeting and analysis, government reporting and compliance, relations with several government agencies and funding partners, worked as a key part of proposal team which gained large financial commitments, preparation of negotiating materials and communications with Grandway Law of China, Project lead on nine trade missions, recruitment and outreach of domestic delegates for the G8/G20 Summit youth program, recruitment of trade mission delegates. (Reviewed over 1000 applications and spearheaded training centres for in excess of 2500) Including management and oversight of the 2011-2015 outreach projects to 10 Canadian cities for recruitment managing a team of 25 volunteers, Project Management of the national forum.Key accomplishments include: a leadership role in trade missions to seven different countries, building of relationships with potential investors at the 2011 Inter American Development Bank Summit in Calgary, a strong track record of exceeding performance targets, served as a delegate to the 2010 G8/G20 Youth Summit and delegate at the 2011 APEC CEO Summit. In 2013 we brought the first delegation of JTChina to Canada.Played a leadership role in financial planning and forecasting.Trade Missions required working with up to 40 participants from coast to coast to help them gain local financial support for their participation, with a particular emphasis on Atlantic Canada, as well as national fundraising efforts. Trade Missions by nature are organized on tight timelines, with the whole process occurring over the course of 10-12 weeks. (6-8 weeks pre departure fundraising, 2-3 weeks on the ground, and 2-3 weeks for follow up.) In order to depart pre departure fundraising must be successful.
