As a Field Service Engineer for Holland Controls Services I have the opportunity to work on a variety of rotating equipment and their respective control systems in different locations:Conoco Phillips - Darwin DLNGWorking on rotation as a member of the rotating equipment team focussed on equipment reliability and optimisation. This involves project work such implementing an upgrade on a Load Shedding System as well as responding to emerging issues, breakdowns and planned maintenance periods on their 5 x Solar Taurus 60s (Allen Bradley Logix5000) and 6 x LM2500s (GE MkVIe). The following systems and tools are utilised:• GE Smart Signal – Predictive Maintenance/Reliability Management tool.• CCC- Traintool & Trainview.• Uniformance – Process History and Analytics.• SAP - Enterprise Resource Planning software.• Bently Nevada System 1 and BN 3500 – Vibration Monitoring. • Conoco’s Management of Change process.• Permit to work safety system.I was the focal point for an upgrade from an obsolete Load Shedding System to a new Allen Bradley based system which included:• Writing controls narratives and functional specifications.• Specifying hardware requirements.• Marking up drawings.• Developing code and algorithms.• Attending design review meetings.• Simulations of the system for SAT.• Installing and commissioning hardware.• Testing system on live plant to ensure correct functionality. BP CSG1 - Georgia & BP SHAH DENIZ 2 – AzerbaijanWorking on rotation as part of the Siemens commissioning team on Siemens SGT-A35s (RB211s, Allen Bradley Logix5000 controls) on two plants as part of the South Caucasus Pipeline Expansion. • Provided updates on progress and H&S to the management team.• Produced detailed handover reports for back to back engineers.• Loop checking.• Fault finding & rectification.• Red lining drawings.• Completion and sign off of Siemens commissioning procedures.• First fired starts and reliability runs.

GT Controls Engineer in the GT Team, working on GE LM6000s, GE Frame 6Bs, Rolls Royce RB211/Avon/Olympus in the Eon-UK Fleet. This job included planning and carrying out routine maintenance and emerging work on the Eon-UK Gas Turbines including; • Interpreting datalogs sent by site and using PI Process Book to monitor engine parameters and performance. • Calibrations of Instrumentation/engine geometry, taking backups of site software, providing phone support, fault finding. • Control system upgrades and commissioning on Woodward Netcon/Micronet systems used on the LM6000s and Factory Acceptance Testing in Mount Vernon Ohio for the FT125 Control System used on the RB211 at Port of Liverpool. • Borescoping and breakdown support working as part of the GT Team and contract staff to ensure that the businesses KPIs for reliability and availability were achieved within tight timescales and to budget. This role also involved writing reports following outages to give sites recommendations on how and when to best maintain their equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce downtime.As well as enacting the role of Team Leader to cover the position when required, being the Assistant Project Manager on a major GT outage which successfully delivered all planned outcomes, traveling abroad to support the business in gaining new contracts and as an Engineer working alongside colleagues and contract staff on a major overhaul.
