Developing AI products for the US insurance market

As a Technical Product Manager, I work to turn strategy into tangible products and features on a global scale. I am responsible for the entire process from building and refining user personas, identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPI), constructing features with specifications and acceptance criteria for engineering teams, creating and updating support documentation, and training sales and support staff.

I oversee the architecture and development of the LaunchKey MFA solution. I am also charged with the development and care of the incredibly talented individuals on the LaunchKey team. Oversight of the architecture and security programs for the whole of iovation is another facet of my role.

After the acquisition of iovation by TransUnion, I maintained the same role as as the Architect for the LaunchKey product at TransUnion. I managed the design and standards of a decentralized multi-factor authentication platform. I was also added as a member of the container working group to create a container strategy for the entire TransUnion organization.

As Director of Engineering at LaunchKey, I wore many hats across a number of departments. I was tasked with improving and creating controls around all developer touch points such as APIs, SDKs, documentation, and evangelism. I assisted the sales team with solution engineering and lead most of the post sales projects as technical lead and point of contact for customers and partners during implementation. I also assisted with technical due diligence on a successful exit for LaunchKey as it was acquired by iovation, inc.

At Direct Edge Brands I was part of an incredible team of talented professionals charged with building and improving disruptive marketing platforms for finance verticals. The two most recognizable brands managed during my time were MoneyMutual and LendVantage. LendVantage was the most recent brand built as a highly scalable cloud platform based purely on PAAS, SAAS, and IAAS providers. As the director of software development, I reported to either the CEO or acting CTO. My responsibilities changed regularly in a very fluid environment but included strategic planning, systems architecture design, quality assurance, dev/ops, database design and administration, employee retention and development, and full stack application development in Java, PHP, and JavaScript.

I held numerous positions during my six years at Selling Source working my way up from a low level developer to director level position on my way. During that time I worked with either a backend or full stack developer on Java or PHP stacks for high volume and high availability financial services and marketing platforms across Selling Source's portfolio of companies: Selling Source, DataX, PartnerWeekly, ePoint Marketing. For the last two years I had leadership roles in which I was the point of contact for designing, implementing and managing business systems as well as managing and/or mentoring teams of 2 - 10 developers and QA personnel.

During my time at Central Recovery Treatment, I had a few titles: Director of Technology, Vice President of Technology and Finance, and Senior Vice President of Business Services. The changes in title represented a growing circle of influence within the company; but, my efforts were always the same. Creating a world class behavioral health organization based on a culture of change and always putting the patient first. Never having worked in health care, my primary role was to work with the clinical and operations teams to provide products and services within the organization that empowered them to reach their lofty goals. These products and services included network and telephony infrastructure, accounting systems and global charts of accounts, payor relations, employee retention and investment programs, security and monitoring systems, business planning and budgeting, and sales and marketing initiatives.

As a part-time consultant, I designed, developed, and implemented an integrated online trading system. This included real-time security and currency exchange quote integration with BRASS and post-transaction services like pink sheets integration. This system was for international market maker GVR Company. GVR Company became a division of E*Trade during my time as a consultant.

During my tenure at Convergys, I served in many roles. The most pertinent roles were as a core systems developer, database administrator, technology researcher and investigator for discovery and due diligence in capital investments, and systems consultant for global IT initiatives.

Created a technology infrastructure for a growing medical case management company.In nearly ten years I was able to transition a company that was working with typewriters and ledger books to a completely integrated computer-based organization.
