With the Fund's support, BSOs have helped strengthen the small business ecosystem, assessing the internal and external capacity, strengths and gaps of direct service organizations.● Collaborate with a small group of funders from philanthropic foundations and banking institutions to set annual strategy for grantmaking - focusing on access to capital, data infrastructure and technology, place-based services (through Chambers of Commerce), inclusive business practice, and strengthening the overall collective of business service organizations - to support entrepreneurs of color in Chicago.● Issue grant awards totaling over $2.4 million annually.● Work towards achieving CCT’s mission of reducing the racial and ethnic wealth gap in Chicago.
