Working in several healthcare systems over the last 16 years taught me just how much of a difference can be made through collaborative interdisciplinary practice. By immersing myself in a variety of different cultures and practice models, I have experienced first-hand the numerous ways in which a positive cooperative environment benefits both patients and hospital staff. A career in pharmacy administration enables me to promote these attitudes and behaviors on a larger scale.One thing I love most about the pharmacy arena is the many dedicated, passionate people in the field looking to make a difference. By providing the necessary tools, support, and guidance, I can help each team excel in their own practice while building an efficient and effective department aligned with an overall goal of fantastic patient care.Currently I am the associate chief of pharmacy for clinical service at the VA Medical Center in Lebanon, PA, where I guide one of the best teams of clinical pharmacy specialists in providing outstanding service to our veterans.When not at work I enjoy exploring the outdoors via boots, kayak, or motorcycle, indoor climbing and bouldering, or traveling.If you’d like to learn more about how I can help your team, please email me at AdamE.Penn@gmail.com.
