While at SunEdison, I managed the closing process for the first utility-scale solar prepayment structure in the U.S. - a 35+MW / $100MM+ solar PV project in Texas. Additionally, I co-lead efforts into solar asset securitization.

Amada Group is a fund manager formed to invest in renewable energy and energy efficiency ventures. We seek to provide above market returns through structured investments that also reduce dependence on non-renewable forms of energy generation.The firm had selected to initially focus on the aggregation of fixed income PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) bonds which allow property owners to finance energy efficiency and distributed generation improvements via property tax bills. The fund was designed to capture the above market returns generated by these senior debt instruments while enabling a reduction in the need for non-renewable forms of energy.

Assisted in analyzing viability of senior and subordinate debt for real estate ventures in western U.S. and Mexico, typically between $2M and $5M per project and placing selected investments in appropriate managed funds. In the wake of the financial crisis of 2008, I managed the workout process with equity and senior debt providers for various under-performing assets creating the ability for MKA to realize the repayment of subordinated debt despite the assets being in a market-driven distressed position.
