As the only photojournalist at the paper, I am responsible for covering all of the news, sports and enterprise stories necessary at a daily publication. I am responsible for archive, distribution and distribution of Rapid City Journal image archives and current content to any and all necessary outlets. • Daily assignment photojournalism to include breaking news, sports and enterprise stories• Coordinating with writers and editors to ensure their photographic needs are met• Archive and maintain a database of all Rapid City journal images

As an intern photojournalist, I was assigned to work with reporters and editors to cover general news and sports as well as any long-term stories. The Gazette is a daily paper where myself and the three other photojournalists were tasked with covering any and all stories that occurred.• Daily assignment photojournalism to include breaking news, sports and enterprise stories• Aerial photography• Coordinating with writers to ensure their photographic needs are met• Archive and assist in maintaining the Billings Gazette image database

-Training still photographer and videographer covering government and military training and testing events at Dugway Proving Ground.-Coordinate with multiple internal and external customers to ensure photographic needs are met including, aerial, high speed, or infrared photography as needed.-Operate various still, high speed and infrared camera systems and videography equipment.-Edit still and video projects using Adobe Creative suite.

-Daily assignment photographer covering editorial, feature, news and sports.-Coordinate with writers, editors and subjects to ensure photographic needs were met, in accordance with the Deseret News style guide and the writers requests.-Utilized Photomechanic and Photoshop to select, edit and caption final images.-Hired as an intern photojournalist, continued as a temporary photojournalist, now working as a freelance photojournalist.-Aid in maintaining media for the Deseret News’ Facebook and Instagram social media sites.

-Photo editor responsible for managing a crew of photojournalists, assigning shoots and ensuring completion of assignments.-Photographer covering campus events, features and news for print and digital outlets.-Maintained the file storage system for the newspaper image archives and weekly production.-Aid in running university of Utah Student Media social media platforms.

-As manager of the school department, supervised a crew of 20 photographers and assistants responsible for portraits, sports and event photography at schools throughout the greater Seattle area.-Special event lead responsible for client relationships, maintaining style standards and coordinating multiple camera set-ups.-In-house sports coverage expert were I covered multiple Seattle area high schools yearbook coverage for their sporting events.-Responsible for photography equipment maintenance and asset tracking.

- Freelance photographer covering high school sports and events, coach and player interviews and additional assignments as needed.

- Commercial production of advertising for FSS events broadcast on the 18th FSS narrowcast channel and Armed Forces Radio.- Responsible for shooting, recording, editing, script writing, staging, lighting, final product selection and coordinating with clients.- Maintained a multimillion-dollar full television production studio.

- MCCS event coverage and family, individual and group portraiture.- Maintained a photographic studio and all equipment.- Provided instruction to beginning and advanced students on photography and post-production techniques.

- Video and still coverage of MCCS and MCAS Iwakuni events and activities for commercial production and archival purposes.- Production of commercials for broadcast on MCCS Iwakuni’s narrowcast network, television and print media. Included script writing, staging, lighting, camera operation.- Maintained a television and still image production studio.

-Active Duty air traffic controller at MCAS Mirarmar. -Supervised a crew of approximately 30 active duty and civilian air traffic controllers in daily operations, including training of newly arrived controllers.-Maintained current certification on all qualified air traffic control equipment and procedures.-Honorably Discharged.
