In my current role I am responsible for planning routes for drivers to maximise efficiency in both time and cost. I am also responsible for the over seeing of the use of third party haulage companies handling and delivering our good on a daily basis. Other duties include speaking to customers to deal with any issues which may arise or to book in deliveries. I am responsible for communicating with staff throughout the company to ensure the transport of goods is done to the highest standard.

My responsibilities were to deliver the companies products in a safe, efficiant manner to various garden centres throughout the UK. I was responsible for making a good impression on behalf of the company and ensuring that and queries from customers were relayed back to the depot and dealt with as quickly as possible.

I was responsible for the picking and packing of all products stocked. I was responsible for making sure the right products were picked and that they were packaged in a safe, hazard free manner. I was also made responsible of my own team whereby i would double check others orders to make sure everything was correct and in order. In this role i was responsible for issuing orders to people and indentifying strengths and weaknesses within my team to ensure that efficiancy was kept to a maximum.
