Erdenet, Mongolia

Teacher Trainer at Orkhon Complex School, a collection of three schools, each with a student population around 1,700. Instructed faculty, staff, and students in English language for a total of 20 teaching hours per week. Organized and held seminars through the local Ministry of Education, the national Ministry of Education, and Ministries of Education in different states on the topics of pedagogy, language instruction, communicative language teaching, and student-centered approaches to education. Worked extensively with both in-service and preservice teachers on teaching methodologies and best practices, designing and delivering several in-person trainings.

Darkan, Darkhan-Uul, Mongolia

Trained 40 new TEFL volunteers in the technical aspects of their Peace Corps service. Created new lessons for the Peace Corps Mongolia training, including a session on Teaching Young and Adult Learners, and helped to modify the curriculum for TEFL technical training. Worked closely with host country nationals (Mongolian staff) to team teach 18 sessions spanning over 5 weeks.

Instructor for Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth summer education program for gifted children. Taught gifted students ages 10 and 11 creative writing in the Writing and Imagination course. Instructed 12 students for 5 hours of classwork daily. Covered topics such as literary analysis, writing basics, mechanics of writing, the writing process, and peer editing.

Cheonsang, Ulsan, Korea

Native English teacher at Cheonsang Middle School. Taught 25 classes every week, with 30 students in each class. Assisted in judging two separate University exit exams for new teachers, evaluating over 50 potential teachers in the areas of English speaking and sample lesson plans.
