Graduate Research Assistant
- As a graduate student in the A.J. Drexel Nanomaterials Institute, advised by Prof. Yury Gogotsi, I investigated the fundamental electromagnetic wave interaction behavior of MXenes, an exciting family of 2D materials.
- Designed and synthesized 2D material thin films and polymer composites of diverse compositions and structures, characterized their EMI shielding properties over the X-band (8.2 - 12.4 GHz) with a Vector Network.
- Achieved tasks across the systems development life cycle for an Automated Spray-Coating System: developed requirements, defined a budget, created a detailed design, led a design review, wrote a proposal, performed.
- Fabricated 2D material-based flexible spray-coated dipole and patch RF antennas and transmission lines (TLs) and characterized antenna properties in an anechoic chamber and TL properties with a VNA for Wi-Fi and 5G.
- Designed research and technical plans, wrote proposals, defined budgets, presented to stakeholders, and wrote annual reports for grants and funding awards (NSF, SBIR, STTR, etc.)
- Collaborated with over 20 partner institutions, including military research labs (AFRL, ARL, etc.), industry partners (Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, etc.), internal and external academic institutions (NYU, CMU.
