As the assistant commissioner, I independently ran the conference compliance program, liaising with the NCAA national office. In this role, I advised compliance programs for the athletics programs of thirteen institutions. Additionally, I processed medical hardship waivers, written documentation, and statements from medical professionals. While serving as an industry leader, I provided +100 expert interpretations of industry-related guidelines and regulations annually, analyzed information against industry guidelines, conducted compliance reviews across member campuses, and assessed effectiveness. My responsibilities included managing a team and devising policies for the Nevada Athletics Compliance Program. In this role, I was the liaison for institutional departments and served as a committee member representing the institution in adjudications. Also, I Interpreted compliance concerns and conducted educational sessions related to gambling, impermissible benefits, outside competition, and summer workouts. I developed content and conducted rules education sessions for all 16 division sports athletes. Additionally, I realized thousands of dollars in cost savings due to ideating and integrating new procedures for book distribution to scholarship athletes. Furthermore, I launched the first compliance manual to ensure uniformity with coaches, staff, and athletes.

From 2009-2011, I assisted in maintaining the integrity of collegiate sports. Conducted interviews, reviewed documentation, and interpreted legislation relevant to NCAA Bylaw 12 violations. Additionally, I completed all enforcement activities per NCAA standards and guidelines. In this role, I gained expertise in identifying infractions and applying NCAA penalties to cases by processing more than 300 secondary violations. I developed the initial Football Focus Group framework, incorporating key stakeholders’ sports vision and mission objectives still utilized within college athletics. Lastly, I actively engaged in Career Sports Forums to generate career development goals by aiding with resume authoring, crafting core competencies, and identifying opportunities for athletes.
