Adam Griffis is a attorney focused on commercial real estate, construction, and corporate law.Adam graduated from University of Washington School of law with a concentration in Global Business Law in 2020. Upon graduation, he was awarded the school's Jack MacDonald Merit Award, an award given to three graduates for their academic and civic achievements, dedication, selfless service, and a generosity of spirit.Within law school, Adam was the 2L (2019) and 3L (2020) Class Representative to the Student Bar Association as well as the first chair researcher for the Technology Law and Policy Clinic, leading the research on Blockchain technology. He was a member of the Technology Law Society and the Law & Business Association at UW Law. Adam has experience in transnational law and public policy. Prior to law school, Adam lived abroad taking courses at University College London where he focused his studies on European Union law and Transnational Trade Law. During his time at the University of Washington, Adam served as an Associate Editor of the Washington Undergraduate Law Review, publishing articles on public policy towards genome testing and asylum for refugees. Further, Adam has served as a Student Lobbyist and worked towards achieving the 2013 and 2014 WA Undergraduate Tuition Freezes.Adam is an advocate for clients and is well-experienced with customer service and client engagement. Through his work at the King County Bar Association, he manages a free legal clinic assisting low-income citizens in family law, bankruptcy and debt, and housing affordability. As an clinic assistant, he fields client’s questions, provides information on social services, and interfaces with attorneys, paralegals, and clients regarding case matters and community outreach.Adam holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Economy and Law, Societies, & Justice (LSJ) cum laude and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington.
