I am currently a senior at Grand Canyon University studying business management with a minor in entrepreneurship. When I graduate, I want to start my own business with the goal of serving people and impacting their lives. James Autry, the author of The Servant Leader, said “There is no business, there are only people. Business exists only among people and for people.”I have a history of customer service in several different positions. I assisted in operating my family business, Pure Concessions, and started a sister company Pure Snowie. These companies provide food services for elementary, middle, and high schools in the Mesa/Gilbert area. My role included building a website, networking with clients, finding business opportunities, building schedules, and managing operations on the event day. I also worked at Starbucks Coffee, Clean Freak Car Wash, GCU Lopes Shop, and Dutch Bros Coffee. While in these positions, I provided excellent customer service, helping the company acquire raving fans and returning customers. I am also passionate about volunteering. In 2018 and 2019, I served at a children's bible camp in Port Alsworth, Alaska as a camp counselor. I have also participated in various community service projects, including cleaning front yards for the elderly community, packaging food boxes, and volunteering with child care at the local church. I believe that helping others should be at the center of everything I do and that servant leadership should be the core of my future vocation.
