In my current position I am funded with Basic Energy Sciences (BES) funding through of Office of Science of the DOE. My main work is focused on understanding electron transport in mesoporous metal-oxide electrode materials such as those commonly found in sensitized solar cells. These materials have many other applications, such as Li-ion battery anodes, electrochromic films, photocatalysis, water splitting, etc. I also support several materials scientists and chemists in my group by performing fundamental electron dynamics measurements, materials modeling, experimental design, and data acquisition.

I designed and supervised the incoming inspection and installation of all lasers and optics for the "memory yield improvement" product line for the company. Our monthly throughput was typically >100 lasers and all of the associated optics. I also performed design testing on new lasers and optical elements for inclusion into future product iterations and new products.
