Combining civilian-acquired skills with combat training, the Army National Guard assists communities recovering from natural disasters, pandemics, and civil disturbances while serving as the primary reserve for Active Duty Army during military conflict. Currently a Colonel, serving as the State Public Affairs Officer for the Oklahoma National Guard. In this role, I manage the public affairs team to create both short and long-term campaign plans which communicate the marketing messages of the Oklahoma National Guard through print, video, and social media.My previous assignments include: Executive Officer, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team - Chief of Staff and second in command for a unit consisting of roughly 3,500 Soldiers. Commander - 1-179th Infantry BattalionState Active Duty - World Trade Center (NYC), Moore (OK) Tornado, and Hurricane Harvey (East Texas)Federal Active Duty - Operation Noble Eagle (US Military Academy), Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraq), Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Joint Multinational Training Group-UkraineRecipient of two Bronze Stars and the Combat Infantryman's Badge for tours in Iraq and Afghanistan
