About Adam Hoots

With over 20 years of experience in the architectural and construction industries, I am a passionate advocate and practitioner of lean construction principles. I am currently a Professor and PhD Candidate at Clemson University, where I teach and research topics related to construction science and management, such as Construction Scheduling, Building High Performing Teams, and The Human Side of Construction.I am also the Lean Shepherd at ConstructionACHEsolutions, a licensed general contractor in South Carolina that helps clients apply lean manufacturing principles to the construction industry. I work with project teams to optimize their workflows, eliminate waste, and enhance quality and safety. I also host a podcast where I share insights and best practices on lean construction, and I am a TedX speaker, author, and kidney transplant survivor. My mission is to change the way our skilled trades and craft workers are valued and respected by all project stakeholders on construction project sites.
