I help companies to create real value through strong financial management. I cover all situations including turnarounds, start-ups, M&A and day-to-day operations.Most recently I was CFO of NOBL Group, a high-growth media start-up. I stabilised its financial operations and assisted it with fundraising activities.Before then, I was interim CFO of IIL - a high-growth tech company which provided data enrichment services to the insurance industry. I led the financial aspects of a highly successful disposal process which resulted in the sale of IIL to RELX Group plc.

Infinitas Learning was a €300m turnover private equity-backed pan-European educational resources group based in the Netherlands. It was acquired by Bridgepoint for €774m in 2007.As CFO I was a director on the main board with responsibility for reporting, investor relations, tax,treasury and finance functions in seven countries. Alongside my colleagues on a new management team, I led a review of the portfolio and subsequent successful restructuring.

In this role I was deputy to the CFO of a FTSE 100 company. My responsibilities included briefing CEO Marjorie Scardino on the group’s financial performance as well as working with the board on results announcements. I also managed the group's ‘Innovation Fund’ for internal technology start-ups.

This was a key division of Pearson plc, with a turnover of £400m. It held a number of assessment and testing businesses including Edexcel, Pearson VUE and the Pearson Test of English. As CFO I managed explosive growth in profit from £2m to £73m in only three years.

Financial Times Business was an £80m turnover publisher of FT-branded magazines, newsletters, management reports and digital information based in the UK and USA. Following Pearson's decision to dispose of it, I co-led an attempted MBO backed by HgCapital. Pearson subsequently decided to keep the business and I restructured it to become the most profitable in the FT Group. It delivered an EBIT margin of 17% at a trough in the advertising cycle.
