About Adam Itokazu
Throughout my lifetime, one of my main goals has always been to make the people I meet and interact with smile and enjoy the time that they have. As a graduate from the Hospitality Management program at Colorado State University, that life goal becomes even more prominent. From working in both small towns as well as large corporations, to just walking through campus and saying hello to someone, people often underestimate how far a smile can go. Most of my experience in the field of hospitality has been able to shape who I am as a person and what I can do for a business. I am able to provide a welcoming environment while still maintaining order for all guests as well as coworkers. Personal interactions build a safe and friendly workplace, which not only affects the employees, but the guests are able to notice when the workers truly enjoy their job. Beginning my college career as an engineer then switching into hospitality, I am able to understand both sides of the spectrum: those who are reserved, and those who are outgoing. Being able to blend the two where each party is satisfied creates a work environment where everyone is able to connect with each other.Speaking to other people and learning about who they are and the stories they have to tell has been a passion of mine ever since I was little. In the hospitality business, everyone comes from different backgrounds: some familiar, and some foreign. From my experience, those stories that are the least similar to mine are the ones that have taught me the most, and I would not trade this profession for the world.
