Adam is the founder and managing director of an Asian based merchant bank which provides advisory and financial consulting services to clients in a diverse set of industries, including resource, sustainability, consumer, education, special sits, and financial institutions.In addition, Adam is a sought-out speaker in the funding and regulation of the space resources industry where he is a recognized expert in this globally relevant emerging industry.Adam has lived and worked in Hong Kong, UK, France, Japan, and Canada, where he has advised and invested with senior policy makers and business executives globally. He believes passionately in volunteering and has been named a strategic advisor to the Nature Conservancy. He also chairs the Council of Champions of the Century Initiative, an organisation that works with Canadian business leaders to promote sustainable immigration into Canada and he has chaired and sat on several philanthropic boards. In recognition for both his philanthropic service and his efforts in exploration and sustainability, he has been honoured with admission into the Order of St. John, and the granting of several fellowships including Paul Harris (Rotary International), Baden Powell (World Scouting Foundation), the Explorer’s Club, the Royal Geographical Society and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.In addition to his Doctorate from the Colorado School of Mines, he has received a B.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, a B.A. in Classics, both from Queen's University in Canada, an MBA from INSEAD where he graduated with distinction, and an M.Sc. in Space Resources Development from the Colorado School of Mines. During his M.Sc. program, Dr. Janikowski was part of a team that won NASA’s Big Ideas Challenge for their work in developing laser power beaming on the moon. Adam is also an avid sportsman and has completed the Boston Marathon and the Athens Classic Marathon, earned a first dan black belt in Judo, and completed a successful summit of Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world.
