Despite that, delivered the new payment functionality on time, and on budget.

Developed a web application in Java, using Spring, MVC, WebFlow, web services, JSP, HTML/CSS/JavaScript that helps discharge planners at hospitals find appropriate post-hospital facilities for patients. Managed production, test, and developer databases. Tackled special (read: complicated) projects.• Created a web service (yes, SOAP) to integrate hospital medical record systems with our application. This allowed patient and facility data transfer and single sign-on from the on-site hospital record system.• Modernized SQL Server 2005 backup and restore procedures, and implemented monthly “fire drill” plan.• Refactored much of the UI to improve usability.• Created a new notification mechanism to alert our 65,000+ facilities when they have a new patient referral.
