The Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) is governed by a Board which comprises of up to eight members, has an annual revenue of around $140,000,000, and owns and operates four independent schools – Brisbane Boys' College, Somerville House, Clayfield College and Sunshine Coast Grammar School. As a Board Director, I contribute to excellence in corporate governance, ensuring high performance, effective risk management and delivering value-based education in line with the PMSA mission.

As a Board Director, I contribute to the governance oversight of the organisation, ensuring high performance in achieving the objectives of MAA. I am also the Chair of the Board Committee Strategic Relationships, which is responsible for developing a Strategic Relationships strategy to give best effect to the overall strategic plan, with a focus on policies, standards, practices and funding that supports the broadening of the scope and impact of delivery of pastoral and spiritual care for older people in Australia accessing care. My role further involves supporting and advising the CEO in responding to requests for input as well as contributing to public policy matters that relate to the promotion of pastoral and spiritual care for older people in Australia accessing care.

As Associate Director of Mission, I work as part of a team to ensure that UCQ as an agency of the Uniting Church reflects its mission; support the induction, formation and development of leaders across the organisation; and foster a culture that builds strong and healthy collaborative relationships between UCQ services, its leaders and the wider Church. This includes management and responsibility of close to 50 staff across Queensland and managing a budget of over $2,000,000.Additional Responsibilities• Providing strategic mission leadership ensuring that holistic care and wellbeing are an integral part of UnitingCare’s service delivery through the provision of pastoral and spiritual care programs to the people and communities that it serves and to its staff.• Ensuring that – as a member of the Aged Care and Community Services (Blue Care) Executive Leadership Team – the mission, identity and theology of the Church is reflected and evidenced in the culture of UCQ as guided by its mission framework and practices, with a focus on integrating a holistic vision within aged care and community services across Queensland.• Providing mission leadership and support through theological reflection and ethical decision-making.• Contributing to the shaping and creation of policy that is in keeping with the theological understanding and position of the Church.

Presbytery Of Port Phillip West

As Presbytery Minister – Mission and Education, I was responsible for the strategic leadership of the Presbytery, leading the development and implementation of the Presbytery strategy and overseeing the mission and leadership development across the Presbytery. This included the development of the Regenerating the Church strategy and the 2021: Regenerating the Church Strategy. These strategies seek to encourage, nurture and sustain a culture of church renewal across the Presbytery of Port Phillip West through developing new forms of church, planting a variety of expressions of church and encouraging new missional life in existing congregations, faith communities, agencies and schools.
