Summary:Lead the acquisition, sales and development of CMC entertainment content (UK branch known as IPCN). Developed and implemented a strategic plan that delivered revenue, profit and long-term growth as Entertainment Rights & Acquisitions Manager for the biggest entertainment rights distributor in the Chinese market.Job Purpose:To develop and grow CMC's entertainment rights portfolio, with operational responsibility and a focus on music related acquisitions. I sourced and pursued multiple new business opportunities, bringing CMC’s entertainment rights capabilities up to the high standards of their wider business. While principally working in acquisition, sales & lead development, the role also incorporated activation duties working alongside local CMC teams and external partners.General Responsibilities:• Proactively approached music rights holders and entertainment platforms such as Tencent to offer strategic content opportunities, developed revenue opportunities through negotiation, management, activation, and evaluation.• Lead the team selling music content into China, achieving and exceeding the annual profits targets set by the company (amounts under NDA).• Delivered headline-grabbing music partnership deals such as Ultra Miami and Montreux Jazz Festival's first streaming deal in China.• Developed music partnerships & IP, including bringing the NME Awards to LeTV.• Created partnerships with outside parties to strengthen the CMC Music proposition.• Acquired sponsorship for CMC music content from Dre Beats and many others.Achievements:• Executed world first streaming deals in China for Montreux Jazz Festival, NME, Hellfest, Amsterdam Music Festival and Ultra Miami.• Developed and delivered a multi-year EDM content offering for Budweiser on Tencent Video.• Delivered year on year profit for IPCN while maintaining excellent relations with platform clients at Tencent, LeTV, iQiyi among others.• Created the IPCN website.
