Hello! I’m Adam Hopper, a dedicated automotive professional with a deep passion for cars and a knack for solving complex mechanical challenges. With extensive experience in both field and technical support roles, I thrive on diagnosing and resolving intricate issues to enhance vehicle performance and reliability.Currently, I serve as a Field Service Engineer with Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD), where I focus on supporting industrial engines across the Americas. My role involves collaborating with dealerships and technicians globally to identify systemic issues and implement long-term solutions, driving uptime and profitability for machine operators.Previously, I spent several impactful years at Ford Motor Company, where I provided on-site technical support as a Field Service Engineer and over-the-phone assistance at the Technical Assistance Center. My tenure at Ford culminated in earning the prestigious Ford Service Engineering Operations (SEO) Senior Master award in 2022, a testament to my mechanical expertise and problem-solving skills.I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Advanced Vehicle Systems from Brigham Young University - Idaho, and have a diverse background that includes two years volunteering abroad in Brazil, as well as living and working across various locations in the U.S. from Michigan to North Dakota. This diverse experience has enriched my perspective and adaptability in the automotive field.In addition to my professional journey, I’m an avid automotive enthusiast working on several personal projects, including a 1996 Mazda Miata M-Edition with a turbo conversion and a 1973 F250 Highboy with a Ford 7.3 Godzilla engine swap.
