PresidentThe Proton Institute Of Ny 2008 - 2012While still working at MedScan, Adam led the charge to bring proton cancer therapy to NYC as he had previously done with the new technology of PET-CT. He helped establish The Proton Therapy Institute of NY (www.tpiony.com) in partnership with major NYC healthcare institutions including Sloan Kettering, Columbia and NYU. Adam designed the project, recruited architects and experts in the field, procured land and bought the equipment. After two years of dedicated effort, the NYS Department of Health finally approved the project. This $300 million center, now led by Sloan Kettering, is slated to open in 2020 as the NY Proton Center.
