I've spent my career balancing myself between the worlds of creative and tech.As for the tech, I am an advisory board member and consultant for several companies. I have served as a COO for four tech companies. The position has allowed me to wear many hats, which has always been a great motivation for me. I have overseen tech teams, design teams and additional staff. I have led product development, budgets, deadlines, day-to-day operations and marketing. From my time in the tech world, I am most proud of my accomplishments at Mowgli, where I raised over $4,000,000 for the company through both an angel round and a strategic investment. Under my leadership, Mowgli released multiple cross platform titles, secured deals with all three of the major record labels (Sony, Warner & Universal), developed a proprietary audio algorithm and patented our technology. Though the company focused on consumer products we also worked on projects for Coca Cola & Live Nation.
I love the startup mentality where everyone is giving 100% to mutually achieve an imaginative goal and I continue to serve on the advisory board for some of the early stage companies I enjoyed working with most. I have also taken leadership positions volunteering with political campaigns from mayoral to presidential and non-profits such as the National Conference for Community and Justice. As for the creative, I have been working in gaming, film, & television. Recently, I story produced a four part series for CNN titled American Style and I have several scripted projects in development. I am currently working on projects with Lance Krall (Monk, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The Lance Krall Show), Michael Selditch (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Catfish), Chris Philip (Departure, Pandora), and Michael Zam (Feud: Bette & Joan).I graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Digital Media and Design. While at UGA, I created the first-ever 3D website to be navigated from the first-person-perspective using Lightwave and Adobe Flash. After graduating, I spent the next six years running operations for two Atlanta-based businesses then started my own firm focused on digital media and social media integration. Even in this position, I recognized that I have always been drawn to storytelling as I have long admired the potential to create “watercooler moments” that allow people to connect.
