I've worked in consumer, B2B, and public sector businesses, building and launching new products in high-growth organizations. I most recently led product and design at Plato, the mentorship platform for engineering and product teams powered by a curated community of the best engineering and product leaders in the world.Before joining Plato, I built Shift's product org from the ground up, led product through Shift's transition from private to public, and contributed to massive year-over-year growth of our business. We've grown quarterly revenue by over 600%, from $27M in Q4 2019 to nearly $200M in Q4 2021, while increasing gross profit per unit by 150% from $800 to $2100 in the same period. I have learned that the keys to success in a product-driven business are having a strong product strategy that informs and aligns with the company's goals, a talented team of empowered product managers who can lead cross-functionally and deliver on the product strategy, and an effective product leader who can support the team and evolve the product strategy as new opportunities come into view. I take a human-centered approach to both product management and leadership. As a leader, I can only be effective if I understand and empathize with the people I am working with, just as a PM can only be effective if they understand their users.
