Fundamentals of public relations

Managed corporate brand reputation by providing all business units with strategic public relations support – including crisis communications, media relations, social media management and award entry development.Led sustainability marketing and communication efforts. • Worked with Haworth’s global, European and Asia Pacific sustainability managers to update and execute strategic long-term communication and marketing plans, which align to corporate planning, priorities and budget. • Project managed the development of Haworth’s annual sustainability report. Led corporate communications for a network of more than 250 office furniture dealerships throughout North America – on an interim basis (April to July 2012). • Managed field and sales and dealership communication channels – website and e-blasts as well as monthly newsletter and podcast.

Provided strategic public relations counsel to client's top executives. Developed and executed public relations strategies including social media and media relations. Was also responsible for project management and managing the firm’s budgets with clients.Client work included: McDonald’s, West Michigan Policy Forum, Rockford Construction, GVSU Charter Schools Office, Huntington Bank, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Outstate Michigan, Life EMS Ambulance, network 180/Kent County Prevention Coalition, Diocese of Grand Rapids, Wedgwood Christian Services, and Rylee’s Ace Hardware.
