Manage the national organization for the largest Jewish student organization in the world (serving more than 100,000 students on 600 campuses in 18 countries.) Hillel engages students in unique educational, cultural, religious, community-building and social justice experiences. In this capacity, guide the financial, organizational and strategic development of the enterprise, orchestrating across all program and operating functions, in order to execute on Hillel's ambitious 'Drive-to-Excellence" strategic plan. During first three years with Hillel International, have more than doubled operating revenue and resources; rebuilt, modernized and marketized core operating and technology infrastructure; while launching and supporting a host of new high impact programs.

Developed business plan, initial product (MVP) and pilot relationships for innovative new SaaS-based Talent Activation Platform branded "Lancelot". Designed the Lancelot platform to unleash the power of an organization's existing human capital through an internal marketplace that matched unmet project needs with available and underutilized internal talent; and offered team members an opportunity to develop their talents and advance their careers by taking on stretch assignments from across their organization.

Served in part-time appointment from 2005 to 2008 as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School for Business. Incubated new ventures, mentored regional and student entrepreneurs, and delivered entrepreneurship education programming.

Incubated and invested in new digital media and marketing ventures, including playing founding operating roles with several ventures. Representative Rock Ridge portfolio companies included Wondir, a community-based Q&A service (acquired by Revolution Health Group); NaturalPath Media, a leading sustainable and healthy living advertising network (acquired by SixApart, now SayMedia); Goozex, an online platform and community for the exchange of video games (acquired by BayTree Acquisition Corp.); GeniusRocket, a creative crowdsourcing platform; Carmun, an early innovator in web-based knowledge sharing applications for students; and Hook & Ladder Brewing Company, a mission-based micro-brewer supporting firefighters. Served as Executive Vice President with private venture group ZG Ventures from 2003-2005, developing strategy, business and financial plans, entity structure and financing framework for new digital education venture In2Books, Inc. (since merged with ePals).

Led International Business Affairs & Development team, formulating strategies and business plans to expand and solidify AOL's presence in Europe, Asia and Latin America, and negotiating AOL investments, acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships to execute on these plans. Managed operations for 150 person corporate business development unit, with oversight for recruiting, training, organizational development, planning/budgeting and other administrative operations.

Recruited, trained and supervised team of fifteen transactional attorneys responsible for structuring and negotiation of AOL commercial partnerships. Negotiated wide variety of content, marketing, advertising, with leading companies including Viacom, Sony, Yahoo, AT&T, Sprint, Amazon, Barnes and Noble and American Express. Developed first generation Internet content, marketing and advertising deal models and partnership policies.

Assisted in the structuring and negotiation of investments, mergers, acquisitions and financings. Worked on strategic transactions at the intersection of media and technology, including an IBM/Blockbuster joint venture and Bell Atlantic's attempted acquisition of TCI.
