Created a framework for migrating large scale features to support swapping over analytics systems, so that we could build strong confidence before migrating in production. Leveraged AI tools such as ChatGPT for generating unit test coverage, schema json data, as well as code snippets to insert for the migration, speeding up the process considerably. Worked with various teams across many timezones to integrate Scopely solutions into Tripeaks Solitaire, an acquired product with it's own legacy systems/infra.- Integrated proprietary authentication services for clients in both Unity and Web, as well as various backend services. - Led efforts for migrating to Scopely's push notification systems, and integrating other central platform features for more effective user targeting.- Integrated consent management solutions for Tripeaks.- Led migration effort to Scopely's new analytics system on Tripeaks, developing pipeline and confidence building processes to ensure no loss of data while pushing an aggressive schedule.Often consulted on various efforts across Tripeaks as well as other products for integration of central services.
Staff Software Engineer
(PHP, Java, JS)Started as a senior engineer on the Checkout team. Eventually lead the team, working with stakeholders and collaborating with other teams. In 2019, started a team to own replatforming the Cart and Checkout space. Originally starting as just myself and some stakeholders, built and then led a team with a wide range of experience (Engineer II to Staff Engineer) in migrating lower funnel systems into decoupled services. Created a fun, psychologically safe environment for team to grow and evolve, while coordinating parallel workstreams that gave junior engineers opportunities to own subsystems while maximizing parallel development and forward progress. Over the course of 2 years, we implemented a new service to handle basket operations at Wayfair, and then safely integrated that new service into the current flow. Created tools for testing this integration safely on live customers: allowing us to find divergences in legacy and new implementation prior to actively servicing customers. Managed many stakeholders and supported teams across the org with integrating new technology and services into the lower funnel, while acting as an advisor on architecture for several projects.Additionally, was heavily involved with the hiring of junior engineers at the company. - Ran hundreds of interviews for intern, coop, and entry level engineers- Trained other interviewers, and provided guidance as they started- Frequent feedback on process, and contributed code samples in various languages to support interviewees with different backgrounds.
