About Adam Livengood

Over the past 12 years, I have coordinated community-based participatory research studies and NIH clinical trials in a variety of settings, including interventions designed to address behavioral and mental health disparities in urban, rural, and medically underserved populations. My research interests are substance use disorder treatment and overdose prevention, culturally-adapted harm reduction models, evidence-based IOP counselor training programs, suicide prevention awareness and initiatives, and upstream prevention efforts aimed at reducing health risk factors. At WSU IREACH, I provide project management and coordination support for the Native Center for Alcohol Research and Education (NCARE), the Native American Research Centers for Health (NARCH) in partnership with Wabanaki Public Health & Wellness in Maine, and community outreach and engagement for the Northwest Health Education and Research Outcomes Network (NW HERON).
