Insurance company. 24/7 production, vulnerability remediation required to pass 2014 PCI Report of Compliance. Helping to further the effort of Allstate's vulnerability management, particularly PCI vulnerabilities. Main efforts are collaborating with compliance and engineering teams to apply security fixes and patches in an effort to keep the infrastructure in a compliant state. Also responsible for delivering reports and metrics to appropriate teams when needed.- Used a variety of tools including vulnerability scans (Qualys) and Penetration tests (NESSUS) to identify vulnerabilities and relay the solution to the proper remediation team. Then would work with the remediation team to understand the fix, properly align it with change management, schedule, and ultimately fix the vulnerability.- Also participated in change activities (monitored testing and validation from war room to ensure no critical components became impacted during the adjustment of a critical firewall rule)• Interpret Vulnerability scan (Qualys) and Penetration (Nessus) test results• Deliver vulnerabilities to appropriate remediation teams• Successfully navigate Change Management and Production schedules as to not impact the environment in a negative way• Work with the teams to ensure successful remediation. I provided the top tier support and was the main organizer of efforts for our department (consisted of 3 people, myself, a project manager and a desktop support technician).
