I knew I wanted to be an engineer ever since I took a summer course for engineering. I love knowing why things work the way they do, especially when I am the one who put the project together! That interest has grown with experience through the years in school and work to a thorough knowledge of the design process, and has helped me be the type of engineer I envisioned myself being all those years ago: one who actively and meaningfully contributes to projects of value.1- I have led or otherwise contributed to many important projects through my schooling and work experience. I led a team of engineers at the University of Utah who designed and built a drone that can mount on a powerline and charge the onboard battery (the results of which can be seen in the video here: tinyurl.com/9s4n5d2k).2- I designed proprietary plumbing and custom plumbing manifolds that are either currently in use on M-series spas at Bullfrog Spas or soon will be. I also helped design, test, and analyze a cup holder lighting system that will be in use in A-series 2023 spas.3- One of my biggest achievements involved creating a macro to be used by line operators which runs through a GUI I made in python and packed into a .exe to improve efficiency on Bullfrog Spas factory line — it cut takt time in plumbing installation area by about 5 percent or more, and if maintained and used, will help the company profit at least $1 million annually."Work hard and smart" may as well be the slogan of my life, because I know that success in my professional AND personal life requires the very best I can offer. I personally believe that the concepts and processes associated with LEAN Six Sigma have helped me do that. I am always trying to learn something new and be a part of the something important.
