In November 2011 I was appointed an additional second role in addition to my main Remote Sensing Technician role where I would spend 2 days per week working within the Marketing Department. In this role I assist the marketing efforts of the company using my skills wherever possible, this has included: • Maintain the three company websites, updating news and content, tracking visitor numbers, working on the SEO of the site and any solving any technical issues.• Created new presentation standards, a large visual update from previous presentations and ensuring they are consistent and contributing ideas during brainstorming sessions.• Design User Interfaces, Logo branding, for new bespoke products• Create illustrations to help convey technical aspects of survey products. • Create video presentations of products for use within trade shows and meetings.• Design new documents, template letters, posters and presentations as needed on short notice.• Create visual mock ups for potential products to be exhibited to clients and potential R&D projects.• Aid the sales team to source images and data examples specific to their needs

Network Mapping is an Aerial Laser Survey company using LiDAR and Orthophotography to provide geomatic, engineering survey grade products primarily for the power line and road engineering industries across the globe.My technical abilities were quickly recognised and within four months I was given a position in the Remote Sensing department as a Remote Sensing Technician. This requires much more technical thinking and problem solving skills and working together as a team to overcome complex problems within projects.Duties have Included:• Creating LiDAR and Orthophotography datasets, conforming to the client’s specific standards for data density, naming conventions, coordinate systems and any other requirements by the client whilst ensuring an extremely high quality of work.• Liaising with internal clients, working on issues quickly and effectively.• Managing my own workload effectively to meet deadlines.• Following a workflow strictly and accurately, but also identify where improvements can be made.• Working closely within the team and training new employee’s on the systems we use and our processes.

In my initial role within the company I worked within the GIS department, performing duties such as:• The classification of power line LiDAR data sets to client specifications, in a speedily yet accurate manner. Using orthophotography, Google StreetView and any other means to help identify assets and ensure accuracy of the classified data set.• QA and QC of classified data sets.
