The Fieldworkers Club assists scientists and resource managers in their efforts to conduct recreational fisheries field research projects in lakes, rivers and oceans around the world. We harness the power of the angling community and couple it with the scientific community. We partner with academic institutions and resource managers that have established research projects in process and need assistance conducting their field work. This work is performed by our club members during scientific fly fishing expeditions we lead around the world. All expeditions include world class fishing, scientific fieldwork and educational seminars.The Mission...To enable science that will pave the way to improved recreational fisheries, while creating positive lifelong memories and opportunities for learning for it's members. Why we do it...The days of simply going fishing and not doing what we can to steward the resources are over. Odds are, if we don’t get actively involved in making things better, future generations of people like us won’t be able to enjoy fishing as we have. The time for action is now. While an alternative is to take action by financially supporting the many wonderful resource stewardship organizations that are out there, this solution is simply not adequate for some people. Many of us can't contribute enough funds to even make a dent. But, we still want to get involved at a higher level. The Fieldworkers Club members are a special group of people who get involved, dig in and get their hands dirty. We are people who participate in enabling science in an effort to make things better.

A classically trained Television Producer, Adam is a veteran of the Chicago TV, Film and video production industry. He Served as Executive Producer of 2 Michigan Avenue studio production facilities and travels around the world producing live broadcasts, films and events for global corporations, television networks and advertising agencies. Marton’s love is bringing “real people” to the screen in a very honest way. He offers a “no bones about it” approach to production that helps both non-actors and professionals to communicate on camera in an intimate, free-form, and emotive way. His relaxed, honest and sincere style was developed early in his career when he was cutting his director’s teeth interviewing celebrities for shows like Entertainment Tonight, Extra, Hard Copy, Access Hollywood and Inside Edition. Marton has worked with Mickey Rooney, Britney Spears, Christiana Aguilara, Mick Jagger, George Clooney, David Schwimmer, Ed McMahon, Presidents Bush & Obama, and the kids of Off The Street Club. For the world of Broadcast TV, Marton directed the Emmys in Chicago for a decade. He also produced and directed PBS’s show “The History Makers,” as well as projects for ABC Sports, ESPN, MTV, HGTV, Court TV, History Channel, Learning Channel, ABC, NBC, CBS and the Food Network’s hit show Emeril Live. He is as comfortable working in a traditional TV control room as he is in the world of cinema verite, episodic and dramatic programming. Marton has produced and directed commercials and films for Proctor & Gamble, Burger King, Kellogg’s, Coca Cola, Exxon Mobil, Mercury Marine, Miller Coors, Quiznos, Glad Bags, Hidden Valley Dressings and Home Depot. Marton has served on the boards of the Gene Siskel Film Center, Columbia College’s Television Department and The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

For a decade I directed and produced the Midwest Emmy Awards Show here in Chicago. Venues over the years changed, the highlights were the Park West Theater and Millennium Park. Notable hosts were Jerry Springer, Tim Kazurinski and Bill Kurtis.

Managed a 5-facility, residential, environmental education summer camping program for high school students in Wisconsin. Responsible for maintaining the overall program's academic accreditation, environmental studies activities, recruited 800 kids, hired a staff of 150, facilities management, capital improvements, fleet management, food services, staff training, marketing and was the on-site Director one of the camps in the summer.
