I'm one of the most experienced accounting & finance recruiters in New Zealand having been recruiting in the sector since 2002. As such I know more accountants than most people in the country. This means I never start recruiting a role from scratch as I have a huge network in New Zealand. I'm based in Auckland and most recently worked for Consult Recruitment who are the largest and most experienced specialist accounting, finance & financial services recruitment team in New Zealand.The role of a recruiter has changed substantially in the 20 years I have been in the industry. There are many tools available now for employers to find, attract, engage with and recruit people themselves. Plenty of organisations have in-house recruiters or recruitment teams specifically to do this. Where I can add value as an external recruiter is by finding people that a client cannot find themselves. When I see good people I track them, I keep in touch with them and I engage with them. I can run a professional end-to-end recruitment process while incorporating all search tools including use of a cloud-based database, advertising through a number of media, networking/referrals and social media tools.I can also provide market analysis and information, career and salary advice, write and update job descriptions and develop and train other recruiters both in-house and in my own business.
