Following certification as an Emergency Medical Technician, I worked for several years at Impulse Ambulance, a Los Angeles-based service provider. At Impulse, I spent three years in the role of Quality Improvement Coordinator and became fascinated by quality management and improvement. My other work experiences include research work in the field of health behavior at the University of Southern California Keck Department of Preventive Medicine, data stewardship to improve customer experience at Castlight Health, and Lean workshop management to improve workflows through the Rona Consulting Group.Whether through the quality initiatives at Impulse, process improvement efforts for Rona Consulting, or program evaluations for community behavioral health providers, a spirit of continuous quality and process improvement is universal to any facet of healthcare. I hope to continue to contribute to the collaborative and critical work of physicians, staff, ancillary support, patients, and industry leaders to shape the future of healthcare and improve the services ultimately delivered to the patient.
