As an ITRA intern I was able to work with clients to verify the proper design of IT controls, tested these applicable controls to determine effectiveness and helped in planning for upcoming projects.

As Lead QA Engineer I am responsible for properly testing the mobile and web applications developed. This includes both Moki branded products as well as products developed for third parties through our consulting arm.

At Novell I worked in the Collaboration Business Unit with the Q&A team assisting in the development of proprietary mobile software. I was involved in developing a software solution similar to Microsoft's activeSync to aid in the synchronization of Novell's existing solutions (i.e. Groupwise) with mobile devices. My responsibilities include testing the latest smart phones (and other non-phone devices such as the iTouch and iPad) to make sure the software was working properly. We practiced the Scrum methodology incorporating activities such as daily scrum meetings to assess where we stood in the development process on a daily basis and to make sure we could meet our deadlines. Other responsibilities included setting up and monitoring an always-on lab and helping bring to the forefront issues that customers are seeing through forums and beta testing sites feedback.

As a technical analyst supervisor of the Hardware/Print/OS division of the Global Service Desk I had the opportunity to solve employees' computer problems while assisting less experienced analysts. The problems included hardware and printer malfunctions, operating system errors or failures, anti-virus software troubleshooting and many others. I worked with products such as Landesk, Sophos antivirus, Symantec antivirus, NDPS printing and other internally developed programs. On average I would get between 15-20 calls per day resolving upwards of 75% myself while routing the rest to the appropriate team who handled different issues.

As a Technical Analyst at Pinnacle Security, LLC in the Tech Support department I answered phones to help customers with problems or questions they encountered with their security system. At the time we supported 5 different security systems from GE and Honeywell. In addition to giving technical support to our customers we also helped them simplify the use of their security systems by offering promotional items such as key/wall fobs, which are wireless devices used to activate/deactivate the system from distance. Working in conjunction with customer service we were able to sell hundreds of these items helping the company's bottom line while improving customer satisfaction.
