Performs Organizational Level maintenance and services on the MQ-1 Predator UAV. UAS equivalent to the US Air Force 7 Skill Level. Performs postflight, preflight, thru-flight, phase, and end-of-runway inspections. Uses technical data to diagnose and solve maintenance problems on the MQ-1 airframe and Rotax 914i engine systems. Inspects/supervises inspections of aircraft engine, structures, components, and related systems for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation along with other mechanic's repairs to ensure airworthiness (Red X Authority). Interprets inspection findings and determines corrective actions. Tests repaired systems/components for proper operation using test equipment or performing operational checks, e.g. gear swings and engine runs. Adjusts, aligns, and rigs aircraft systems. Supervises and performs aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations. Inspects and operates powered and non-powered aerospace ground equipment. Inspects and identifies aircraft corrosion for prevention and repair. Enters data into aircraft forms and IMDS and ensures completeness and accuracy. Inventories and maintains aircraft equipment. Conducts AGM-114 Hellfire Missile loading, launcher rail operation checks, storage, and transport.
