Build out APIs and features for internal tools and customer-facing use by Web and mobile apps, using tools such as Spring Boot, Kotlin, Java, Open Search (Elasticsearch), Redis, and DynamoDB.Add metrics to our applications and aggregate them using Python to be pushed to Datadog and New Relic. Use said metrics to create technical and financial dashboards (application APM, requests per second), or incoming order values vs previous quarter/year's order; alerts on things such as customer orders falling outside standard deviation for a given time range, CPU/RAM usage, or API/Web latency.Built out and deployed A/B tests around our product search and browse to determine what types of data customers prefer and are will lead to a better conversion rate.Create and aggregate data using event streaming tools such as Kafka: in order to provide better data management, normalization, and search recall/precision for our end result.Build out functionality for our applications, requiring working across teams, setting up system design meetings, and incorporating feedback into the finalized product.Keeping things running through all of this: key and cert rotations, setup AWS IAM privileges for our systems, extensive ad hoc testing along with adding unit tests and integration tests to our software to validate data integrity.

Wrote and performed load tests using tools such as JMeter and Gatling spread across AWS EC2 instances. SDET role where I tested against our newest builds, most of which were Perl daemons used to perform Email and SMS filtering targeting Spam and Phishing messages.This role required me to set up fresh installs of our platforms, and perform functional tests, integration tests, and blackbox tests against a new, specific build for a tool. Tests also had to include regression testing and verifying our latest builds worked in harmony with our other tools and systems before we deployed them out to our various Internet providers (ISPs) and Mobile Network Operators (MNO/VMNOs, such as AT&T, Verizon).Caught major bugs and provided detailed explanations for how they could be exploited, and how they could be fixed.Performed SDET duties on our Web services, using technologies such as NodeJS (Javascript) and Linux, Apache, MySQL (specifically, Percona build), and PHP (LAMP).
