My work with the New York City Department of Education, as both a consultant and civil servant, as well as my current work in supplier diversity at CDW, provides me with a great sense of fulfillment. My career focus in building institutional equity for diverse businesses, including minority and women-owned enterprises (M/WBE), SDVOBs, HUBZ and LGBTQ+ owned companies, stems from my passion for social responsibility and my individual experience as a first-generation American son of small-business entrepreneurs.My expertise in supply chain and contracts is a resource I leverage daily at CDW in helping disadvantaged businesses navigate financial opportunities through strategic Tier 1+2 partnerships. Our customers are able to realize significant impact through direct and indirect spend with our diverse partners supporting both job and income growth within local communities. At the NYCDOE, I worked with DOE agency clients to develop and execute Multiple Task Award Contracts, granting school leaders (principals, business managers) and central program offices access to the latest tools and professional development resources available from private industry and non-profits. Additionally, I was the second hire for the agency’s newly formed Supplier Diversity team which has since expanded into a full-fledged division within the NYC DOE Chancellor vertical. My prior work in media includes publishing credit in more than 10 regional Top Doctor healthcare magazines for contributions in marketing and content selection.
