Lead the team of program managers responsible for AntiVirus and AntiSpyware technology. Own all aspects of requirements management, feature design, scheduling, vision, and the process of shipping the software directly to customers or through partner teams.This and related technology is seen in several products:My team was directly responsible for the Malicious Software Removal tool, which is shipped to 160 million customers every month to do one time cleaning of the most prevalent malware through Windows Update, and available on the download center.My team was directly responsible for Windows Defender, which ships in every copy of Windows Vista and as an update for Windows XP at no additional charge.My team provided antimalware technology for Windows Live OneCare which provides consumer desktop AntiVirus and other machine maintenance for consumers, for Microsoft Forefront Client which provides enterprise desktop AntiVirus with centralized manageability and control, and the Windows Live Safety Scanner which provides a web interface to do scanning and cleaning of malicious software.The Malware Encyclopedia, an online description of Malware cleaned by our team.Oversee the above projects, including create plans for their release, influence the overall design based on an understanding of customer requirements, and track progress on those plans.Work with our legal department on intellectual property issues.Manage program managers from both a project and people perspective: hold regular 1-1 meetings to ensure clear expectations, provide feedback on progress, write yearly evaluations, identify tasks that help them grow, etc.Drive weekly status communication to our management staff up through our vice president. Identify measures of success for my products and areas and present them or have them presented by a team member.Attend and present at antivirus and antispyware related conferences.
