As part of FLIR’s Product Management team, I have been presented with the unique opportunity to oversee a diverse group of product categories within our Public Safety and Condition Monitoring portfolios. From low-cost measurement devices (<$50 USD) to premium maritime navigation devices (>$200k USD), these product portfolios address a multitude of customer needs and market opportunities.My team of highly talented Product Managers span from the US to Taiwan and we work intimately with an equally global R&D team that is spread across 8 countries. We pride ourselves on the agile development of high-value solutions that lead their respective markets.

As part of Raymarine's Product Management Team, I have lead R&D efforts to grow the recreational fishing portfolio. With a strict focus on differentiated solutions, I have lead the sonar and radar teams to produce a suite of products that have resulted in steady annual growth. With the adoption of agile processes across hardware, software and mechanical teams, and a strong push for rapid prototyping, development lead times have been cut to one third of historical levels. Understanding the importance of efficiency, I have streamlined my portfolios by optimizing their SKU count and working closely with Supply Chain to ensure clean life cycle transitions.

While part of Raymarine's Internal Sales Team, I contributed to all aspects of the new product introduction process including demand forecasting, retail store placement, marketing material development, internal customer preview and external consumer launch.My responsibilities also included the identification of marketplace trends and the leadership of interdepartmental actions to maximize production lead-time, ensuring sufficient product supply and minimizing order backlogs.Further, I successfully implemented a variety of strategic initiatives resulting in substantial sales lift through all targeted distribution channels.Lastly I measured results and adjusted participation in monthly advertisements to maximize company exposure while abiding to budgetary limitations.

While contributing to Raymarine's Product Management Team, I launched a variety of new marine products ranging from top level navigation displays to key product line accessories resulting in an additional $6M of annual revenue.I also assisted with the lifecycle management for all products within the Multifunction Display line, a $90M portfolio. One major achievement while in this position was the leadership of multiple departments collaboration efforts to streamline the product retirement process and ensure clean transitions from legacy to replacement products.

As part of Daimler's Product Management Team, I supported advantageous product development by providing effective analytical market research and recommendations. I also assured market research validity by maintaining constant communication with key vendors, like JD Power and Associates.Lastly, I insured successful representation at various industry expositions by actively managing key product ordering, production and logistic processes.

While working within the Daimler Training Department, I effectively trained over 2,500 sales personnel throughout the entire North American dealer network by utilizing various corporate training programs.I reduced corporate training expenses by transitioning applicable training seminars to online conferences, utilizing WebEx® communication technology and successfully managed multiple instructor-led training seminars, significantly improving attendee knowledge of Freightliner competitive advantages and selling techniques.
