As part of my professional development aiming for gaining my Chartered Engineer status, I took the opportunity to do a design secondment. I worked with a specialist geotechnical design consultancy. Whilst on secondment my two main projects were the TTT Blackfriars Cofferdam and the new South Quay at Poole Harbour, both marine HZ-M and AZ sheet combi wall projects. Rnli St Davids New Tamar Lifeboat Station

On the project to build the new Tamar Class lifeboat station for the RNLI in St Davids, Pembrokshire, Wales I have been a site engineer responsible for setting out and controlling works on site ranging from marine drilled piles from a Jackup barge to RC works and then the building structure and fit out. As the BIM coordinator on the project I have worked with the client, designers and our in house BIM deployment team.
