One year after joining Best Connection I posted my CV on a number of networking sites and as a result I gained the opportunity of starting a brand new Logistics Division with Brighter Prospects based at their Head Office in Manchester.From the inception I quickly built an admiral client base and was invited to take over the existing Logistics Branch staff with total responsibility for training, motivation and growth of all four branches.Manchester soon outperformed all the other branches and was completely on track to break all previous records as achieved in the North West. In 2009 Brighter Prospects, like many other companies suffered in the economical downturn, leaving the Shareholders and Board no other choice but to cease trading.I, along with a number of like-minded colleagues, seized the opportunity to carry our good name and relationships forward. This was done under the now trading name of Polaris Logistics Recruitment Ltd.From a driver to consultant and on to Manager I progressed to Director and then taking over the company outright. As a result I created Polaris Distribution Ltd with its function being storage, warehousing and also the sale and distribution of Ad-Blue. Seeing a need to move the very products we were storing and distributing I created Polaris (Logistics & Distribution) Services Ltd, the transport arm of Polaris. Three unique, yet connected companies within the now Polaris Group. I am really pleased to state with hard work and foresight, anything is possible.Sadly, in September 17 Polaris Logistics Recruitment Ltd was forced into liquidation. However, turning it in to a positive and removing a headache. It now allows me to concentrate on what I know and love, Transport & Logistics.I will continue with this ethos of effort and hard work which will keep Polaris moving onwards and upwards. Show less
